Tree Trunk Tiki II

This is the other pine log from my neighbor Rob's backyard. Just in the early stages of roughing in the primary lines. I made the fortunate discovery that using sidewalk chalk is wonderfully effective for sketching in the basic design. Way more so than a Sharpie. This log is around 4 feet long, and about 15" across at the top end. the black discolorations are just surface stains from the pine tar. The mouth I pretty much know how I want to look, and the shape of it is starting to come together. The basic lines of the face have been decided, and some primary cut lines have been incised. I still haven't got a good idea for the headdress, so I'm hoping that I have that figured out by the time I work my way to the top.
